Connie H. (Hassey) Kalife, 91, of New Bedford died Friday April 11, 2003 after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Alexander J. Kalife.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Elias and Debbie (Thomas) Hassey, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Purgatory Church.
Mrs. Kalife enjoyed spending time with her entire family, especially having her many nieces and nephews over for Sunday dinner.
Survivors include a son, Alex J. Kalife of New Bedford; a daughter, Joanne K. Morra of New Bedford; a brother, Ernest Hassey of Dartmouth; 2 grandchildren, Elizabeth Kalife and Alexander Kalife; a nephew, Joseph E. Hassey of Mattapoisett; and several other nieces and nephews.
She was the grandmother of the late Christopher Morra, and sister of the late Hassey E. Hassey, Joseph Hassey, Helen Badwey, Agnes Saba, and Phoebe Nasser.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New BedfordMonday April 14, 2003 at 9 AM.Divine Liturgy at Our Lady of Purgatory Church at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Sunday April 13, 2003 from 4-8 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
