Margaret (Collett) Abbott, 83 of Franklin died October 7 in the Beth Israel Deaconess Mediacl Center in Boston. She was the wife of the late William S. Abbott Jr. who died in 2003.
Born in Melrose, March 23, 1925, the daughter of the late Frederick and Margaret (Moylan) Collett, Mrs. Abbott was raised in Melrose and had lived in Franklin since 1964.
Mrs. Abbott had been an Administrative Assistant at Dean College for many years before retiring. She had previously been the office manager at the W.T. Grant Department Store in Milford.
She is survived by her sons, John P. Abbott of Hatfield and Stephen W. Abbott of Franklin.
Services will be private with burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
