TAUNTON - Lillian Margaret Theroux, daughter of the late Donat T. and Clara E. (Bourget) Theroux, died at Marian Manor on Sunday, Oct. 5th. She was 95.
Born in Middleboro, she moved with her family to the Taunton area at the age of 6, and was educated in Taunton Catholic Schools.
A 1930 graduate of the former St. Mary’s High School, she was later employed by Wheaton College, where she worked as a bookkeeper for over 25 years before retiring in 1980.
A communicant of St. Mary’s Church, she was an avid reader, and enjoyed traveling and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include a niece, Sr. Carolanne Theroux, R.S.M. of Pawtucket, RI; and 2 nephews, Paul R. Theroux of Lancaster, NH, and Robert E. Theroux of Westport, MA.
She was predeceased by her brother, the late Eugene D. Theroux; her grandniece, the late Michelle Silvia; and most recently, her lifelong friend, the late Grace Fenton.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Thursday, Oct. 9 at 9:15 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at the Marian Manor Chapel at 10:45 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
An hour of visitation will by held from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m., prior to the mass.
