In Taunton, of Hart Street in East Taunton, Oct 5, 2008 Rita M. (Nadeau) Prunier wife of the late Raymond J. Prunier died suddenly at Morton Hospital at the age of 85. Born in Taunton, Rita was the daughter of the late. Joseph & Alma (Desrosiers) Nadeau. Rita was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School class of 1941 and attended Business school for one year. She was employed at the former B.E. Stanton’s & The Children’s Shop both in Taunton as a Sales Rep. Before that she was employed at the former Ansonia Mills in Taunton. Rita was a member of Holy Family Church in East Taunton and the Church Choir, Former Girl Scout Leader and Loved the Boston Humane Society. Rita was the mother of Lorna J. Prunier of Wilmot, NH and Jane E. Prunier and her long time partner Ernst Dessaules of Newport RI. Grandmother of Caitlin and Charles R. McConnell both of Wilmot NH. Sister of the late Alfred Nedeau, Leah Morin, Julia Martin, Dora Sister Zelia, Edna Cardin, Henri Nedeau (Edmonite Priest), Lina Sister James Helena and Harriet Plentus. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Thursday October 9th at 9 am. Funeral Mass at Holy Family Church in East Taunton at 10 am. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 5-8 pm. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery in Taunton.
