Nunzio A. Vosolo, 87, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Sunday, October 5. He was the husband of the late Marie A. (McDermott) Vosolo. Born and educated in Dorchester schools, Mr. Vosolo resided in Stoughton since 1948. A Veteran of World War II, he served several years in the U.S. Army and was a prisoner of war. Mr. Vosolo was a machinist at Gillette in Boston for 35 years before retiring over 25 years ago. He was a member of the VFW Post 1645 and the Amvets both in Stoughton and the American Legion in Dedham.
Mr. Vosolo is survived by his siblings, Vera Radosta of Dedham, Eva Denisi of Quincy and Rocco Vosolo of Dedham as well as his sister-in-law, Claire P. McDermott of Stoughton and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Anita Vosolo, brother Vincent Vosolo and 7 other siblings.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, October 9 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday 4-7 PM. Burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Nunzio’s name may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
