John P. Kalin, a lifelong Needham resident died on Friday, October 3rd at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham. He was 93 years old. Mr. Kalin was a graduate of Needham High School, Northeastern University and Northeastern University Law School. He worked for Research Institute of America as well as for Jack Hunter, President and CEO of Hunter Photo in New York. Mr. Kalin also was employed by Wang Laboratories. John was an usher at St. Joseph Church for over 40 years. The beloved husband of the late Stephanie Kalin, he was the loving father of John A. “Jack” Kalin of Needham and Stephanie Kalin of Libertyville, IL. Brother of the late Bernard “Necco” Kalinowski, Joseph “Cal” Kalinowski and Josephine Kalin Zanbon. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Wed. Oct. 8th at 11:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church at 12:00 Noon. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visitation will be Wednesday morning from 11-11:45 prior to the Funeral Mass. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery.
