Salem: J. Dennis Thompson age 73, a resident of Salem, died Sunday morning, October 5, 2008 at the NSMC / Salem Hospital following a brief illness.
Born and raised in Salem, he was the son of the late Mary Jane (LeClerc) Thompson.
Dennis was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy and worked in construction for several of the area’s commercial construction companies. Dennis was a specialist in concrete construction projects and truly loved his line of work. His other passion was for the Boston Red Sox.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Denise L. Howell of Peabody, Carmen Munroe of Salem, a son, K. Ricky Thompson and his wife Julie of Salem, a sister, Joanne R. Pszenny of Salem, 7 grandchildren, Stephanie R. Morneau, John Howell, Courtney Belanger, Stacey Schroeder, Whitney Munroe, Kenneth and Eric Thompson. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren and his close friend Carol Michaud. He was the husband of the late Carmen L. (LeBel) Thompson.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 8 am at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem, followed by his funeral mass in Ste.
