Augusta,GA- Mr. Lee Wesley Jurney age 67, entered into rest on Sunday, September 28, 2008 at the V.A. Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Linda Jones Jurney, two sons, Wesley Clapper of Newark, IL and Bob Choate of Grand Junction, CO, one daughter, Rhonda Brockman and her husband Craig of Earlville,IL. Five grandchildren, one brother, Roger Jurney and and his wife Linda of Sandwich,IL., two sisters, Pat Taxis and her husband Bob of Plano,IL. and Judy Severson and her husband Ron of Newark,IL.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Bellevue Memorial Gardens Masoleum Chapel.
Mr. Jurney was a native of Aurora,IL, he was the son of the late Robert T. Jurney and Gladys Akre Jurney. Lee lived most of his life in Martinez,GA. He served as a Captain in the U.S. Army, as a helicopter pilot during the Vietnam Period. He was a lifetime member of the U.S.A.S.C. Officer Candidate School, and a member of the Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Assiciation. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church .
Mr. Jurney will lie-in-state at Bellevue Memorial Gardens Chapel one hour prior to service time.
The family will receive friends Wednesday at the Funeral Home from 7 until 9 p.m.
