Obituary

Harvey W. Tuck of Florida and formerly of Canton and Milton died on September 26th at the U-Mass Medical Center in Worcester. He was 89 years old.

Harvey was born on May 28, 1919 in Chelsea, MA. He was the son of the late Henry and Sadie Tuck. He was a graduate of East Boston High School. He had resided in Milton and Canton for most of his life and as of recent was living in Florida. He was in Boston for the summer to spend time with his family and friends.

Harvey proudly served our country during WWII with the Army-Air Corp based out of England. He was ranked as 1st Lt. Navigator for the 548th Bombardment Squadron. He flew on an Army-Air Corp. B-17 Bomber during the war. Harvey’s family is very proud of the time he spent defending our country during the war. He was also a member of the Greater Boston Association of Retarded Citizens.

Harvey was predeceased by his first wife Esther (Rosenberg) and Frances (Solomon). He is survived by his loving children Stuart and his wife Barbara Tuck, Gary Tuck, and the late Steven Tuck, Rhonda Gidney and her husband Ed. Harvey was the loving grandfather of his four grandchildren Katie, Rose, Michelle and Brad.

Services at the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave., Cary Sq., Chelsea on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 11:00 am. Interment in West Roxbury. Memorial observance will be held at the home of Stuart and Barbara Tuck, Revere Beach through Friday afternoon.
