Coney L. Thweatt, 85, Clarksville, died Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at Montgomery Care and Rehab Center. The funeral will be held at 12 p.m. Friday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Dr. Larry Robertson and Rev. Tony Chester officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West with full military honors. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service Friday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Thweatt was born February 25, 1923 in Hopkinsville, KY, son of the late John Green Thweatt and Nancy Jane Spicer Thweatt. He was retired from Montgomery County Asphalt Paving Co. Survivors include his wife, Henrietta Thweatt; a son, Lyle Thweatt (Terri); a daughter, Debbie Bryant (Jimmy), all of Clarksville; a sister, Geneva Hall, Helotes, TX; grandchildren, Chase and Kelsey Thweatt and Nathan and Jamie (Charessa) Bryant; and one great-grandson, Reed Bryant. He was preceded in death by brothers, Tite and William Thweatt; and sisters, Lorena Thweatt, Thursa Dulin, Nell Moore, and Myrtle Gibbs. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
