Obituary

Auburn – Alistair M. Kennedy, 78, of Auburn formerly of Worcester died on Tuesday, September 23rd in his home after being stricken ill.

His wife of 35 years, Georgette A. (Vallee) Kennedy died in 2005. He is survived by a son John R. Kennedy and his wife Roxana of Auburn; a daughter Alyson M. Cordio and her husband Scott of Leominster; three grandchildren Sean, Lucas, and Joshua and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Kennedy was born in Worcester son of the late John F. and Sarah (Freeburn) Kennedy and is predeceased by a sister Margaret F. Marchand.

Mr. Kennedy is a veteran of the United States Navy and served during the Korean War. He retired from the Boston-Maine Railroad as an engineer in 1990. He later worked for Consumer Auto Parts as a driver.

He was a member of the USS Boxer Association, the New England Model A Club, the Greendale Retired Men’s Club and the Holy Name of Jesus Church Social Club.

Calling hours will be held on Friday September 26 from 5 to 8 PM in Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond Street Worcester. Private burial will be held in Worcester County Memorial Park Paxton.
