Obituary

Eva Etheal Turner Ogles, 91, Clarksville, died Tuesday, September 23, 2008, at her residence. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Madison Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Marcoulier officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the church. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born March 20, 1917 in Morgantown, KY, daughter of the late Adolphus Turner and Lottie Gray Turner. As a mother, Mrs. Ogles was actively involved in church, school, music, scouts, and sports with her children, Carol, Gloria, Joy, and Bill. She was a member of Madison Street United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband of 72 years, William Ogles, Sr.; a son, William G. Ogles, Jr (Alice), Clarksville; daughters, Eva Joyce Ogles (Johnny), Clarksville; Alice Carol Eady, Columbia, S.C.; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gloria Ruth Moss. Pallbearers will be Bill Wyatt, Christian Hanley, Ray Hampton, Weston Hampton, William Ogles III, Albert Norris, Robert T. Wyatt, Bryce Powers and Ray Darnell. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Willard Blue Sunday School Class and Eugene Putnam.
