SUTTON- Harry G. Petridis, 63 of Sutton and Centerville, a Certified Public Accountant, died Saturday in Cape Cod Hospital, Hyannis, after an illness.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Popham) Petridis. Among his survivors he leaves, three sons; Michael G. Petridis, of Dallas TX, and H. Charles Petridis, of Milan Italy, and Anthony T. Petridis of Landing, NJ, and a daughter Deborah L. Petridis of Albany, NY. He leaves Step sons; Craig Gosselin of Sutton, and Shawn Gosselin, of E. Douglas, sisters, Marie Etchells of Centerville, and Adrianne Lawson of Osterville; 8 Grandchildren, and 4 Step Grandchildren.
Born in New York, son of the late George and Elizabeth (Jozsy) Petridis, he was raised and educated on Cape Cod. He later graduated from Clark University, Worcester. He was a member of its Kappa Phi fraternity.
Mr. Petridis was a Certified Public Accountant for over 40 years. He had practices in Worcester and Gardner. He taught at the New England School of Accounting in Worcester.
He was an active member of St. Spyridon Church, serving the Parish Council from 1985-1988, serving as President in 1988. He was a member of Worcester chapter of AHEPA, serving as President in 1969; he was active in its Scholarship committee.
He was an avid golfer, Gardner and enjoyed boating and traveling.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday April 9, 2003 at 10:00 AM in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Calling Hours at Britton-Wallace Funeral Home 91 Central Street (www.brittonfuneralhomes.com) will held from 5-8 P.M. Tuesday, a Trisagion Service will be held.
