Maria Concetta (Albanese) Fazzolari, of Notre-Dame, New Brunswick, Canada, formerly of Somerville died Thursday at Dumont Hospital in Canada. She was 98.
Born in Minnesota, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Marian Albanese. A Somerville resident for many years, Maria lived in Canada with her daughter for the past 22 years.
She was the beloved wife of the late Pasquale Fazzolari. She was a devoted mother to Rose Melanson and her husband John of Canada, the late Salvatore and Maria. She was a loving grandmother to Elizabeth, Michelle, Lisa, Tracy and Patricia. She was a loving great-grandmother to Daniella, Jake, Matthew, Alysha, Jasmin and Kory. She was the dear sister of the late Mariane, Dominico, Rollo, Salvatore, Pepi and Giuseppe. Maria also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Monday at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 AM . Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family Monday morning 8:30 to 9:30. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
