Worcester- Lillian M. (Sharman) Kalinowski, 73, of 4 Euclid Avenue, died Saturday, April 5, in UMass-Memorial Medical Center-University Campus, after an illness.
Her husband, John J. Kalinowski, died in 1988. She leaves two sons, Thomas R. Tortorella of Bronx, NY, and Christopher Tortorella of Stockton, California; three daughters, Theresa G. Fiore of Bronx, NY, Rosemarie Lippner of Ossining, NY, and Anita R. Gardella of Bronx, NY; a sister, Diana Rudell of Florida; 12 grandchildren; a great grandson; a nephew and a niece. A son, Joseph Tortorella of Bronx, NY, died in 1997. She was born in Manhattan, NY, daughter of William and Gertrude (Gimblelain) Sharman, and lived there before moving here 24 years ago.
She was a member of Notre Dame des Canadiens Catholic Parish and a former member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Catholic Parish.
The funeral will be Wednesday, April 9, from Henry-Dirsa Funeral Home, 33 Ward Street (www.worcesterfuneral.com), with a Mass at 9 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, in the funeral home.
