Methuen, MA - Anna "Henky" (Kuzmitski) Kostrzewa, 83, died Thursday, September 18, 2008, at Lawrence General Hospital. Born to Leon and Domenica (Kostecko) Kuzmitski, Anna was a native and lifelong resident of Methuen.
Anna was a graduate of Edward F. Searles High School in Methuen. She was employed as an office worker at Western Electric-AT&T in North Andover until her retirement. She later helped organize the company's retirees' club.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She loved gatherings for special occasions and enjoyed talking with relatives, neighbors and friends. Her kindness and generosity touched the lives of everyone she met.
Anna is survived by her husband of 61 years, Walter S. Kostrzewa, her three sons Walter and his wife Terry Kostrzewa of Rockledge, FL, John and his wife Carol Kostrzewa of Cranston, RI, and Peter and his wife Patricia of Melbourne, FL. She also leaves three grandchildren, Stephen, Andrew, and Daniel, all of Cranston, RI, a sister - in- law, Nina Kuzmitski, of Methuen as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Anna was predeceased by her siblings Steve Kuzmitski, Clarkie Kuzmitski, Olga Tilley and Pete Kuzmitski.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on Sunday, September 21, 2008 from 3-7 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence St. Methuen, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 22, 2008 at 9 AM at St. Lucy’s Parish in Methuen, with internment to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
