Henry W. "Tinker" Murphy, 72, of Redington Shores, FL and Adams Pond Rd., E. Derry, died Saturday, April 5, 2003 in Redington Shores, FL. He was born in Concord, NH on June 13, 1930 a son of the late Henry and Lyndel (Clark) Murphy. He was a resident of Redington Shores, FL since 1997, E. Derry since 1948 and formerly lived in Warner, NH. Henry was a charter member of the Calvary Bible Church in E. Derry and also helped to build the Church. He was a longtime 3rd Generation farmer at Bliss Farm in E. Derry.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Eleanor (Bliss) Murphy of Redington Shores, FL and E. Derry, three daughters, Patricia Jordan of Epsom, Peggy Forest of Allenstown, Priscilla Blake of Hooksett, two sons, Donald Murphy of Allenstown, David Murphy of Derry, seven grandchildren, three great granddaughters, one brother, Merton Murphy of E. Derry, several nieces and one cousin.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 10th at 10:00 at the Calvary Bible Church, Hampstead Rd., E. Derry. The burial will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery in E. Derry. Friends may call at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry on Wednesday evening from 7 – 9. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Florida Suncoast, 300 East Bay Dr., Largo, FL 33770.
