Harold Russel Kope, Jr, 61, Cunningham, TN, died Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at Gateway Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with military honors with Rev. Jamie Mandrell officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the hour of the service Thursday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Kope was born November 4, 1946 in York, PA, son of the late Harold Russel Kope, Sr. and Ruth Fullen Kope. He was also preceded in death by his wife Noriko Hokama Kope and brothers, Lamont and Jeffrey Kope. He was a veteran of the US Marines and worked as a restaurant manager. Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Montgomery (Brian), Cunningham, TN; a brother, Davis Kope, York, PA; sisters, Aluana Hoke, Lancaster, PA; Alvenia McKinney, Red Lion, PA; Diana Baublitz, York, PA; Juanita Reichert, Lemoyne, PA; Tina May, Ala; and Billie Jo Lake, Red Lion, PA; and four grandchildren, Joshwiah Kope, Chrystein Kope, Kymeki Montgomery, and Kinju Montgomery.
