Helen I. Fusco, of Medford, late proprietor of Helene’s Beaty Shop in Tuft’s Square, died Tuesday at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was 80.
Born in New York, she was the daughter of the late Louis and the late Frances (Cirillo) Fusco. Helen was raised in Medford and lived here all of her life. For many years she operated Helene’s Beauty Shop in South Medford, until her retirement several years ago.
She was a devoted sister to Lucy Peters of Stoughton, Irma Gionfriddo of Wilmington, Alfred Fusco and his wife Pauline of Medford, Ernie Fusco and his wife Sue of Woburn, Marie Hanley of Medford, and the late Louis Fusco. She was dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 – 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
