Augusta, GA---Mr. James Richard “Dick” Jordan, 62, entered into rest on Monday, September 15, 2008, at his Augusta residence.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at 2:00 pm, in the Platt’s Funeral Home Crawford Avenue Chapel with Reverend Doctor J. Andrew Menger officiating.
Mr. Jordan was a Certified General Contractor, in the state of Florida, for 45 years. He was a member of the Doric Masonic Lodge #140 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, a 32nd degree mason, through The Valley of Lake Worth Orient of Florida and a member of the Mahi Shriners, of Miami, FL. He was an avid fisherman, boater and loved Nascar racing. Mr. Jordan was a member of the Lutheran faith and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
He was preceded in death by his wife, of 43 years, Crystal S. Jordan, his parents Robert Ellison Jordan and Phyllis Pfeiffer Jordan and brother, Charles Robert Jordan.
Survivors include his daughter, Dana J. Accardi and husband, Jake, of Suwannee, GA, son, James Robert Jordan and wife, Amy, of Port St. Lucie, FL, sister, Phyllis J. Pierce and husband, Ben, of Augusta, GA and two grandchildren, Richard Accardi and Sarah Accardi, both of Atlanta, GA.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 20, 2008 from 1:00 pm until the hour of services and following the services, at Platt’s Crawford Avenue.
