Obituary

Mary C. Ford, age 97, of Woburn, formerly of Winchester, passed away at the Woburn Nursing Center on Sept. 17th after a brief illness. Born in Brookline, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Keaevney) Ford. For many years, Mary was employed as a secretary for the Massachusetts Department of Fish & Game, from which she retired in 1971. Most recently she worked as a seamstress in Winchester. A member of St. Mary’s Church in Winchester, Mary volunteered with the Ladies Sodality, and also enjoyed knitting and painting. Mary is survived by her sister, Sr. Julia Ford, C.S.J., of Framingham, and was pre-deceased by several brothers. She was the dear aunt of Philip, Anthony Ford, Michael and Tammy Ford, Judith and Kevin Trout and several other nieces and nephews. She is further survived by her dear friend, Rosemary Spencer. Her Funeral will be held from the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester on Sat. Sept.20th at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, Winchester at 10AM. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Friday from 4-8PM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, W. Roxbury. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to St. Mary’s Church 158 Washington St., Winchester, MA 01890.
