CHELMSFORD--G. Eleanor (Haggerty) Janulewicz, a resident of North Chelmsford, formerly of Lowell, died early Friday morning, Sept 5th, after an extended illness.
She was born in Lowell, the daughter of the late Gladys (Shaw) Haggerty and William Haggerty, and was predeceased by her beloved husband Robert R. Janulewicz. She was a graduate of Lowell High School where she was a captain in the Girl Officers Regiment, and later attended Bradshaw Business School.
Eleanor was employed at Fort Devens, later at the E.A. Wilson Co. and retired from DeMoulas Markets main office in Tewksbury.
Ellie enjoyed playing cards, activities with her many friends and family and especially loved the N.E. Patriots.
She is survived by a brother: William T. Haggerty, and his wife Lorraine, of Virginia; three nieces: Janet, Rhonda and Deana, many cousins including: the Warren Shaw family and Carmel A. Farley of Dracut, Isabel B. Cappiello of Windham, NH, close friends: Muriel Salome, Jean Sweatt, Marie Leonard, Craig Athayde, many grandnieces/nephews and lots of friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to a gravesite service at the Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell, on Monday September 22nd at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations to may be made to either Lowell General Hospital; Development Office; 295 Varnum Avenue; Lowell, MA 01854, or Merrimack Valley Hospice; 360 Merrimack Street, Bldg. 9; Lawrence, MA 01843.
