Vandla Jean (Hedges) ESTES died Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at her home in Natick. She was 76. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas A. “Gus” Estes.
Born in Newton, MA she was the daughter of Howard H. and Irene F. (McGrath) Hedges. She was a resident of Natick for 50 years. Previously she had lived in Wellesley.
She was the devoted mother of David Estes and his wife Cheryl A. of Derry NH. Robert A. Estes of Natick, Richard W. Estes and his wife Jeannie of Millis. She was the loving grandmother of Elise, Brian, Adam, Gregory, Samantha, and Ryan. She was the sister of Robert Hedges and his wife Jeanette of Natick, Rosalie Campbell and her late husband Thomas of Framingham, Frances Enman and her husband Douglas of Marco Island, FL.
Funeral Service in the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home 477 Washington St. (Rt. 16) Wellesley, Friday at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Thursday 5-8. Interment in Dell Park Cemetery, Natick.
