Andrzej K. "Andy" Araszkiewicz, 67, of New Bedford died Saturday September 6, 2008.
Born in Warsaw, Poland, he lived in this area for the past 20 years.
He was formerly employed as a commercial fisherman aboard the F/V Humbak.
He enjoyed traveling, cooking, and taking his pet Yorkie for long walks. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Ewa; children, Marek and Agnes; granddaughters, Martha and Ania; and his American family, Leshia Souto, Hassan Souto, Nathaniel Souto Sr., and Stanley and Mary Adamczewski, and many friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday Sept. 16, 2008 at 6 PM at the Seamen's Bethel. His remains will be take back to his native Poland for burial. For online condolence book, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
