WORCESTER-Madeline (Festa) Nozzolillo, 83, of 240 Belmont Street, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 11. She leaves a daughter, Mary Ann Carey of Millbury and her husband Paul, a son, Joseph A. Nozzolillo and his wife Celeste of Worcester; four wonderful grandchildren, Kevin P. Carey, Sr. and his wife Renee, Jonathan, Joseph and Leah Nozzolillo, all of Worcester and a great grandson, Kevin P. Carey, Jr. She leaves behind her vast extended family and several friends, many of whom reside at Seabury Heights. Her husband of 36 years, Joseph Nozzolillo, predeceased her in June of 1978.
Madeline was born in Worcester, the daughter of James and Anna (Vingione) Festa. She and her husband Joseph founded Joey’s Limousine Service in 1946. She remained active in the business for several years. She was an active resident and volunteer at Seabury Heights for nearly 20 years. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed cooking, playing cards, Bingo and traveling to casinos. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Madeline’s funeral will be held on Monday, September 15, in Worcester from the Callahan & Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St. Ann’s Parish, 28 Mulberry Street. Calling hours will be held from 2PM to 5PM on Sunday, September 14. She will be buried in St. John’s Cemetery with her husband. It is requested that flowers be omitted.
