OBITUARY
Lunenburg
Virginia L. (Ramgren) Jencks, 90, of Lunenburg, died Friday August 8, 2008
at the Golden Living Center with her loving family at her bedside.
Virginia was born in Fitchburg September 22, 1917, the daughter of John A.
and Mary (Boutwell) Jencks. She graduated from Fitchburg High School in
1935.
Following graduation, she worked at the Independent Lock Co, Fitchburg
General Hospital, then was the industrial nurse for Hedstrom Union.
Following her family's move to Stoneham, Ma. she worked at New England
Memorial Hospital and then was the office nurse for Dr. Roger Nelson until
her retirement in 1982. She and her husband then moved to Lunenburg
where they have been living for twenty five years.
Virginia loved to travel and visited many places including Hawaii,
California, Canada and Washington State where she witnessed the
eruption of Mt. St. Helens. She was a member of the Fitchburg Seventh day
Adventist Church and served as the church treasurer for 19 years.
Virginia leaves her husband of 63 years, Andrew C.Jencks, they were
married July 16, 1945. Her son and daughter-in-law Frederick A. Jencks
and Catherine of Marietta, Ga.;Her daughters Judith a Twing of Duluth, Ga.
Linda L. Johnson of Billerica, Ma. and Andrea A. Tymeson and her husband
William of Richmond, N.H. Her son-in-law Clayton H. Whitney of Fitchburg.
13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
Several nieces and nephews.Her daughter Gloria (Bean) Whitney died in
1991. Six brothers and two sisters predeceased her.
Calling hours at the Bosk Funeral Home 85 Blossom St. Fitchburg, Ma. will
be held on Monday September 15, from 6 to 8 P.M. A memorial service will
be held on Tuesday September 16, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home, Burial
will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery,
