Obituary

Julia M. Twohig, 98 years of Brockton died Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at Life Care Center, West Bridgewater after a period of failing health. She was born, raised and educated in Brockton, a daughter of the late Mary A. (Cronin) and Jeremiah Twohig. She was a lifelong resident of Brockton and a graduate of Bridgewater Normal School. Ms. Twohig retired from the Brockton School Dept. as a teacher having taught First grade at Sylvester, Copeland and the Gilmore School from where she retired in 1974. She had been a volunteer teacher of the First Grade at Davis School. She had been a member of the Sodality-Guild at St. Margaret Church, the Brockton Garden Club and the Massachusetts Retired Teachers Association. She was a communicant of St. Margaret Church for many years.

She is survived by a cousin, Marie Murray and her husband John of W. Bridgewater and their family.
She was the sister of the late Margaret MacNeill and Ella A. Twohig.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday 8:30 to 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann Church, W. Bridgewater at 10am.
