Obituary

Marie-Reine Y. Plasse, 91, of Clinton St., Woonsocket, died Sunday evening at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Leonard G. Plasse.
Born in St. Robert P.Q., Canada, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Celina (Salvas) Godin. Mrs. Plasse came to Woonsocket as an infant and remained a lifelong resident of the city.
She was employed by the Albert Shaw Co., Glenark Mill and was a homemaker for many years.
Marie was a lifelong communicant of Precious Blood Church, a member of the Ladies Guild of Precious Blood, and the Kennedy Manor Association. She enjoyed donating her time to various volunteer efforts in the community.
She is survived by two daughters, Lorraine P. Thomson, of Newport, and Gloria Cerar, and her husband, Paul, of Waynesburg, PA, and four granddaughters, Michelle Tibbetts, of Woonsocket, Linda Everson, of FL, Candice Nicholson of PA., and Major Christine Cerar, D.M.D., U. S. Army, of VA., and four great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Jeannette Poisson, of Manville, and Lucienne Pierel, of Cumberland, and the late Robert, Philip, Joseph, Alberic, Jean Baptiste, and Omer Godin, Emelia Parenteau, Rose Pelletier, and Christiana Laquerre. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be Thursday at 9:00 am from the Menard Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave., Woonsocket.
