FALL RIVER … Marie D. (DiNardo) Jordan, 70, of Fall River died Saturday, September 6, 2008, after a brief illness.
She was the widow of John P. “Sudzy” Jordan.
She died at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River.
She was born in Fall River a daughter of the late James G. and Mary (Soares Mello) DiNardo and been a life long resident of this city.
She was employed as a sales clerk with F.W. Woolworth Co. for 35 years and later worked with Burlington Coat Factory until her retirement in 2006.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, Thomas Street, Fall River.
Mrs. Jordan enjoyed day trips including Foxwoods Resort and Casino, being outdoors, ceramics, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include 2 sons: John J. Jordan of Swansea, Michael D. Jordan of Fall River, 2 daughters: Dorothy Paiva of Fall River and Mary Farias of Tiverton, a sister Patricia Cordeiro of Fall River, 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late James G. “Butch” DiNardo.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Wednesday at 9AM at the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, (508) 672-0291) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, Thomas Street. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours Tuesday 4 – 8 PM.
