Mary Louise was a devoted wife to her late husband Charles for decades. While raising five sons she chose a Real Estate career and excelled at it for over forty years. She was selected Broker of the Year on more than one occassion. Aside from her great love for her family, her second love and passion was golf, which she played frequently with her sons at Charles River Country Club. The O'Malley household was a second home to the many friends of her sons. The front porch at Furber Lane in Newton was the scene of the ususal Friday and Saturday evening get-togethers. Sandwiches for 10 or more were never a problem for "ML." "ML" enjoyed her annual trips to the Breakers with her childhood friends from Indianapolis. She loved her Bridge on Tuesdays. "ML" enjoyed all Boston sports teams, especially the Red Sox and Celtics. She was an ardent supporter and attended many of her sons' sporting events throughout the '60's & '70's at St. Sebastian's, Boston College, and Manhattan College. Mass, the Rosary, and Communion at Boston College and Sacred Heart nearby were part of her daily ritual. Mary Louise was a determined, fit, gracious, beautiful, warm, loving person who loved her stylish hats, and will be missed dearly by all her family & friends. "ML" was cherished and our family treasure.
