Paul Kurkjian of Dedham, a US Army World War II veteran, died on Sunday, August 31st at the Veterans Administration Hospital in West Roxbury. He was 89 years old. Born in Worcester MA, Paul was a graduate of Watertown High School. He was a former employee of Cooper Industries and most recently was self employed in the produce industry. Son of the late Peter and Annie (Vakel) Kurkjia, he was the brother of Alice Kurk of Newton, George Kurkjian of Weston and the late John and Lucille Kurkjian. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Newton Cemetery, 791 Walnut St, Newton on Thursday, Sept. 4 at 1:00 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting will be held at the Eaton and Mackay Funeral Home, 465 Centre St NEWTON CORNER, on Thursday from 11:30 AM to 12:30 prior to the service.
