
Annette M. Pihl, 69 of Medford, died Thursday after a long illness in the Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston, MA.
Born in Cambridge, she has lived in Medford for the past 36 years and formerly of the North End of Boston. She was the daughter of the late Margaret (Puopolo) and Arthur McGonagle. Annette was a Certified Registered Nurse of Anesthesia at the Franciscan Hospital for Children in Brighton since 1982. Beloved wife of Leonard Pihl. Devoted mother of Judine Pihl and her Fiancé Bryan Kravitz of Medford. Sister of Sandra Piccolo and her husband Albert of Tewksbury, Mary Orlandella and her husband Phillip of Saugus. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Wednesday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. In lieu of flowers the family request donations may be sent in Annette’s name to the St. Jude Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
