Rocco Vermiglio, of Dedham died at his home on Aug 28, 2008. He was 90.
Born in Boston he lived in Everett and Malden and had been a resident of Dedham since 1966. He worked as a leveler at Stride Rite Shoe Co. He was active with the Dedham Council on Aging singing with the “Troubadors”, was a former member of Roslindale Council Knights of Columbus and enjoyed bowling.
Husband of the late Hannie (Joseph) Vermiglio, he was the father of Janice Vermiglio-Smith of Chandler AZ, Ann Pomposelli of Dover, Karen Rogers of Dedham and Rocco S. Vermiglio of Farmington CT, brother of Ann, Gloria, Virginia, Stevie, Lena and the late Annie, Lucy, Frankie, George and Rose. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, one great grandson and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wed Sept 3 at 9 AM in St. Susanna’s Church, Dedham. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave NEEDHAM on Tues from 4-7 PM. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery West Roxbury.
