Obituary

WORCESTER___Edward P. Jakusik, 83, of 39 Seymour St., died Saturday March 29 in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center, 20 Worcester Center Boulevard.

He leaves his wife of 60 years, Evelyn M. (Daley) Jakusik; a son, Paul E. Jakusik of Worcester; two daughters, Jane E. Hurd of Auburn and Linda J. Reidy of Naples, Florida; a sister, Jane Yucatonis of Brooklyn, Ct., five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, son of Felix and Antoinette (Siergie) Jakusik and was a lifelong city resident.

Mr. Jakusik was an electrician for more than 40 years with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, local 96, working for area companies and retired in 1985.

Mr. Jakusik was an Air Force veteran of World War II.He was graduated from Commerce High School and received his electricialtraining from Worcester Boys Trade High School.He was a former member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church and the PNI Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday April 2, from Henry - Dirsa Funeral Home, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday April 2 in the funeral home.
