
Manchester– Jacques A. “Jack” Plante, 79 died August 27, 2008 at Community Hospice House in Merrimack following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Manchester on February 1, 1929, the son of Joseph and Germaine (Landry) Plante.
He was a Gunny Sergeant in the U. S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War.. He was a member of the Jutras Post American Legion 43.
Prior to his retirement he was a truck driver for Roberts Express and Yellow Freight.
Family members include his wife Doris (Nadeau) Plante of Manchester, one son Richard Plante, of Goffstown, four daughters, Jacqueline Souza, of Sweetwater TN., Jeannine Chasse, of Bedford, Muriel Graveline, of Manchester, Linda Pierce, of Goffstown, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one brother Ronald Plante, of Candia, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In His Life: He was predeceased by a brother Henry Plante. He enjoyed spending time with his Chihuahua “Bandit”.
Services: There are no calling hours.
Graveside services will take place on Tuesday September 2, 2008 at 1 pm at NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
