John Kosydar of Olyphant died Sunday evening in Mid Valley Hospital, Peckville.
Born in Olyphant, son of the late Michael and Anna Wojdan Kosydar, he was a graduate of the Bowman Technical Institute for Watchmaking and Jewelry Repair. He and his wife owned Kosydar Jewelry in Olyphant for more than 30 years. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, Olyphant.
Surviving are two brothers, Bernard and Michael, both of Dickson City; nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Victor, Agnes Stepkowicz and Stephanie Nepalotano; and six brothers, Joseph, Edward, Frank, Peter, Stanley and Louis.
Funeral services will be Thursday from the Michael P. Glinsky Funeral Home Inc., 129 Grant St., Olyphant, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Michael the Archangel Church, to be celebrated by the Rev. Thomas Muldowney. Interment, parish cemetery.
