Obituary

Mildred F. Tyler, 88, of Mt. Pleasant Street, Derry, NH died Friday March 28, 2003 at the Parkland Medical Center, Derry following a brief illness. She was born on October 23, 1914 in Salem, NH, a daughter of Robert and Annie (Rand) Copeland. She was a resident of Derry for over 50 years, formerly living in Salem, NH. She was a graduate of Woodbury High School in Salem. She was employed as a telephone operator for New England Telephone in Lawrence, MA for many years and was later employed in the lunch program for the Derry School System. She was a member of the Senior Friends in Derry. She was also a member of the First Parish Congregational Church, East Derry. She was predeceased by her husband Donald A. Tyler in 1995, and by her daughter Phyllis D. Tyler in 1992.

She is survived by six sisters, Lillian Magoon, Salem, Ethel Ackroyd, Dracut, MA, Marjorie Caton, Connecticut, Eleanor Lenzen, Gladys Chorley, both of Salem, Ruth Halizowski, Newburyport, MA, several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday April 3rd at 2:00PM at the First Parish Congregational Church, Hampstead Road, East Derry. The burial will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry. Friends may call at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry on Wednesday from 5 – 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Parish Church, Preservation Fund, PO Box 114, East Derry, NH 03041.
