New Bedford – Ernest M. Vardo Jr., age 48 years, died unexpectedly at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the companion of Madeline Mendoza. Mr. Vardo was the loved father of Ashley Vardo, fiancée of Michael C. Brown Sr. and Earnest M. Vardo III, all of New Bedford. He was the brother of James Vardo Sr., husband of Denice of New Bedford and Sandra Vardo, companion of Julie Crocco of Worcester and the grandfather of Michael C. Brown Jr. Mr. Vardo is also survived by his aunt Patricia Amaral and her husband Tony of New Bedford and his nephews Jimmy, Jason and Joshua Vardo.
Mr. Vardo was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of his life. He was a son of Alice C. (LaCombe) Vardo and the late Ernest M. Vardo Sr. Mr. Vardo formerly worked as a truck driver.
In accordance with his wishes Mr. Vardo will be cremated. Burial of his ashes and a memorial mass will be scheduled at a later date.
