Caroline (Soares) Therrien, age 88, of Fall River passed away August 23, 2008. Born in Fall River, she was the widow of Paul Emile Therrien and daughter of the late Jacinto & Maria (Rego) Soares. She was a retired sewing machine operator having worked at Paramount and later at Ideal Bias and was a member of St. Michael Parish.
She is survived by 4 children: Roger M. Therrien of Fall River, Pauline M. Mello of East Taunton, Barbara J. Quinn of N. Dartmouth and Carol I. Reed of Missouri City, TX; 3 sisters: Marie Erickson of Swansea, Alice Soares of Fall River and Mary Silvia of Port St. Lucie, FL; 4 grandchildren: Shawn Quinn, Riley Canuel, Sheena Therrien and Emily Reed, 1 great grandchild: David Quinn and several nieces and nephews. She was mother of the late Paul M. Therrien and sister of the late John, Jesse and Frank Soares, Isabel Rodrigues and Valentina Montgomery.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Tuesday at 9:30 A.M. with a mass of Christian burial in St. Michael Church at 10:30 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours Monday 5-9 P.M.
