Albertina (Barboza) Amaral, age 97 of The Cedars, 628 Old Westport Rd., Dartmouth and previously Fall River, passed away Aug. 22, 2008. Widow of William Amaral & daughter of the late Antonio Barboza & Maria (Cabral) Margarida formerly Barboza. She was a retired assembler having worked at Chase Leather Company and previously in the Fall River school department as a lunch lady. She was a member of Espirito Santo Church. She loved to travel, shop and to visit family and friends.
She is survived by l brother: Edward S. Margarida of Westport and his wife Angelina; 2 nieces: Carolyn Benn and Janice Fiedler; great nephew Mark, great niece Erin and great nephew Ryan and great great niece Amanda and great great nephew Adam. She was sister of 8 late siblings: Everett Barboza, John, James, Manuel Margarida, Diana Ingenito, Lucy Dias, Aldina Mello & Joseph Margarida.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St. Monday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a mass of Christian burial in Espirito Santo Church at 10:30 A.M. Entombment in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. There Are No Sunday Calling Hours.
