Adeline M. Miceli

TEWKSBURY - Adeline M. (Ferro) Miceli, 77, a well known resident of Tewksbury for 48years, died unexpectedly Thursday night, Dec. 27, at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell.

She was the wife of Joseph F. Miceli, who died in 1990.

Born in Waltham, August 15, 1924, a daughter of the late Joseph and Angelina (DeLuca) Ferro,she resided there until moving to Tewksbury in 1953.

She worked as the office manager at the Donna Miceli Dance Center for more than 35 years. Inher earlier years she owned Creations in Flowers company in Tewksbury.

Active in the building of St. William’s Parish, she helped organize and produce many fund-raisershows. She was also a former member of the Merrimack Valley Sweet Adelines choral group.

During WWII, she served as a Civil Defense Air Raid Warden in Waltham. In her later years she volunteered for Alateen , and especially enjoyed her neighborhood role atHalloween as “Adi the Witch.”

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Miceli-Rhodes and her husband JohnRhodes of Dunstable, Jeannine and her husband Jeffrey Martin of Nashua, NH, two sons and adaughter-in-law, James J. Miceli of Portsmouth, NH, Joseph F. and his wife Laurie (Pellerin)Miceli Jr. of Hudson, NH, six grandchildren, Thomas Rhodes, Ricky, Timothy, and Amy Pellerin,Justin and Jordan Martin, one brother, Salvatore Ferro of W. Newton, three sisters and a brother-in-law, Lena Casella of W.Va., Grayce Cochoran of Waltham, Rose and her husband Sam Kibilianof Weymouth, a sister-in-law, Adeline Pacheco of Arlington, and numerous nieces and nephews.She was also sister of the late Vita Cavallo, Charles, John, and Nancy Ferro.

Her Funeral Mass was held Monday in St. William’s Church. Interment was inTewksbury Cemetery.
