Obituary

WORCESTER-Mary A. (Ruggiere) King, formerly of 38 Monroe Avenue, died Thursday, March 27th in Massachusetts General Hospital. Her husband of 30 years Henry T. King died in 1972. She leaves a son, Thomas H. King of San Francisco, 2 daughters Frances A. King of Burlington and Patricia A. Milani of Worcester, 4 sisters, Rose Monahan of Worcester, Lena Hobin of Andover, Jean Nilsson of Sterling and Sue Chronchio of West Boylston, 3 grandchildren Anthony Milani of Worcester, Alexandra and Thomas King both of San Francisco, and many nephews and nieces.

She was born in Worcester the daughter of Thomas and Francesca (Bovenizze) Ruggiere. Mrs. King was a World War 2 Marine Corps veteran and later had worked for many years as a supervisor for the Massachusetts Lottery Commission in Worcester, she retired in 1988.

The funeral will be Tuesday, April 1st from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday, March 31st from 5:00 until 9:00 PM in the funeral home.
