Mr. Joseph Charles Kozdra, 87, a resident of Lawrence, Massachusetts, passed away on Wednesday, August 20th, 2008 at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, MA.
Born in Methuen on March 7th, 1921 to the late Stanley and Aniela (Zak) Kozdra. Mr. Kozdra was educated in the Methuen Schools. He served in the National Guard of the United States from June 6th, 1939 through November 19th, 1940, also served in the Pigeon Service and he served in the United States Army during WWII. Mr. Kozdra was employed at Pacific Textile Mills in Lawrence, Massachusetts, and later worked as a Spray Painter for Western Electric in North Andover, MA, of which he retired from after 30 plus years.
He loved and enjoyed his family and long walks with his close friends. Joe enjoyed the Wheel of Fortune and was an avid Bingo Player.

As well as 16 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, 4 Great Great Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Mr. Kozdra was predeceased by his daughter: Sandra Provencal.
His funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 23rd, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA.
Burial will take place at a later date.
