Obituary

Jeanne C. (Larochelle) Fredette, 91, of Manchester died August 19, 2008 at Catholic Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born in St. Francois, Quebec on September 20, 1916, she was the daughter of Joseph and Aurise (Lachapelle) Larochelle. She attended grammar school in Canada and high school in Manchester at Central High School. She lived in Manchester most of her life.
Mrs. Fredette worked at Manchester Knitted Fashions for many years. She was a member of NEPCIA, the Association Canado-Americaine, the Ladies of St. Anne and the Manchester Garden Club. She was a former communicant of St. George Church and later at St. Catherine Church.
She enjoyed sewing, traveling, playing cards, shopping and having lunch with her many friends.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Priscilla Fredette in 1959 and by her husband, Herve Fredette in 1989.
IN HER LIFE: She had a zest for life and will be remembered for her generosity and outgoing personality.
The family includes two children, Robert R. Fredette and Michele F. McDowell both of Manchester; two grandchildren, Patrick J. McDowell and Brendan M. McDowell both of Manchester; a great grandnephew, Noah Jepson; a great grandniece, Abigail Jepson; a godchild, Diane Fredette of California; nieces, nephews and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday, August 23, 2008 at St. Catherine Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock streets, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester. After the services, a reception took place at the Puritan Conference Center, 245 Hooksett Rd., Manchester.
