Angelina (Piazza) Etna, of Medford, died Monday at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness. She was 90.
Mrs. Etna was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Eva (Mascara) Piazza. A life-long Medford resident, Angelina was a devoted wife mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was known to generations of Medford High School students for her work in the school’s cafeteria.
She was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore Etna who died in 1991. She was a devoted mother to Josephine Micciche and her husband Joseph of Medford, Ralph Etna and his wife Frances of Rockport, Richard Etna and his wife Marcia of Melrose. She was a loving grandmother to Paul and his wife Wendy, Michele and her husband Paul, Chenay and her husband Eric, Todd and his wife Lisa, Chris, Danielle and her husband Jeff. She was a loving great-grandmother to Paul, Lee-Ann, Kaelin, Morgan, Andrea and Julie. She was the dear sister of Anna Petrosso of Arlington.She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit Friday from 3 - 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. Procession will gather Saturday morning at 9 followed by a 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Raphael Church, West Medford. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
