Obituary

Helen J. Fontaine, 88, formerly of Chateau Clare, Woonsocket, died Monday at Bayberry Commons in Pascoag. She was the wife of the late Adelard E. J. “Del” Fontaine.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Henry Blais and Bertha (Lambert) (Blais) Pierce. She was a lifelong resident of Woonsocket.
Mrs. Fontaine was a homemaker. Her most cherished times were with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Robert A. Fontaine, and his wife Jill, of Woonsocket, Gerard Fontaine, and his wife Carol, of Cranston, and her daughter-in-law Jeannine Fontaine, of Cumberland. She was the mother of the late Emile Fontaine, and sister of the late Aileene Perrico, and Alice Perrico. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:00am in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Friday morning from 8:30 -9:30 am, prior to Mass, in the Menard Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
