Antonia (Luciano) Alfieri passed away on August 17, 2008 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. She was 85 years old.
Born in Italy, Antonia was a longtime resident of Malden for over 30 years. She worked as a candy maker for Schraffts Candy Co. in Charlestown for 11 years.
Antonia was married to the late Angelo Alfieri for 50 years and was the beloved mother of Salvatore Alfieri and his wife Juli of Salsbury, NC and Carmine Alfieri and his wife Marcia of Malden. She was the cherished grandmother of Elisa, Marco, Katherine, Nicholas and Margo and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Thursday, August 21st at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are on Wednesday, August 20th from 4-8 p.m. Entombment Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.
