Obituary

Abington- Thomas F. Neville 74, died unexpectedly Friday August 15th in the South Shore Hospital. He was the beloved husband for 51 years of Paula M. (Hickey) Neville.

Born in Boston he was the son of the late Timothy and Elizabeth (Grimshaw) Neville.

He grew up in the Wollaston area of Quincy and was a graduate of North Quincy High in 1951, before moving to Abington where he has resided for the past 51 years.

He was a Veteran of the US Navy having served during the Korean Conflict.

Before his retirement he worked for New England Telephone in equipment installation for over 40 years, and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers Club of America.

He loved traveling through out New England.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughters; Laurie Neville of VA, and Lynn Neville of Abington his granddaughter Julia Neville of VA, his brother Paul Neville of FL, his sisters Emily Neville of Plymouth and Mary Young of CT, also many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Timothy Neville.

His services will be held Wednesday August 20th at 8:15 AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass in the St. Bridget Church, Abington at 9 AM. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Rockland. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday August 19th from 4-7 PM.
