SPENCER-Kathleen E. O’Malley, 56 of 5 Grant Street, formerly of Worcester died Thursday, December 27th at home after a long struggle with emphysema. She leaves 6 brothers Timothy F. O’Malley of Worcester, Kevin P. O’Malley of Auburn, Donald H. Rose of Worcester, Mark D. Rose of Coral Gables, FL, Anthony R. and Clifford Rose both of Worcester, 2 sisters Tammy Rose Martin of Worcester and Mary R. Rose of Oxford, her good friend Nancy Richard with whom she lived, and many nephews and nieces. A brother Michael C. O’Malley of Key West, FL died in 1985.
She was born in Port Hueneme, CA the daughter of George O’Malley and Lucille “Betty” (Schneider) O’Malley Rose, and had lived in Worcester for many years before moving to Spencer. Ms. O’Malley had been employed by Beta-Therm in Shrewsbury as an office manager and bookkeeper. She retired last year due to illness.
The funeral will be Monday December 31st from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street, Worcester. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Sunday, December 30th from 3:00 until 6:00 PM.
