TEAL, Sr. Joseph Franklin
Joseph Franklin Teal, Sr. 71, of Summerville, husband of 51 years to Juanita Lee Teal died Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at the Medical University of South Carolina.
A memorial service will be held Monday, August 18, 2008 at 3 o’clock at Summerville Family Worship Center, Summerville. Burial will be private.
A gathering of friends and family will be held Sunday evening from 5 until 7 o’clock at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Summerville Family Worship Center, Benevolence Fund, 407 North Magnolia Street, Summerville, SC 29483.
Joe was born July 28, 1937 in Florence County, son of the late Will and Jessie Mae Anderson Teal. He was a graduate of Lake City High School. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He enjoyed gardening and fishing. He was a retired framing contractor and a member of Summerville Family Worship Center.
Surviving in addition to his wife are:
3 sons and 1 daughter: Joseph Franklin Teal, Jr. (Barbara) of North Charleston, Wayne Carol Teal (Deresa) of Summerville, Maxie Dean Teal (Tina) of Summerville and Anita Hiott (Shane) of North Charleston.
2 brothers: William Tom Teal of Georgetown and James Randolf Teal of Lake City.
7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren
He was predeceased by his son and sister: David Earl Teal and Lucille Infinger.
